Possession and Access

With which parent should a child reside?

The Texas Family code provides that “the best interest of the child shall always be the primary consideration of the court in determining the issues of conservatorship and possession of and access to the child.”

Visitation

How often will the non-custodial parent visit with the child?

“Public policy”  encourages both parents to have frequent and continuing contact with their child.
However, if the parents are not able to agree on visitation,  then generally the Standard Possession Order applies.
